Ever since he was a boy (when he wasn't out in his backyard catching reptiles and amphibians) Bob has been drawing or playing guitar and singing! When his family moved from Massachussetts to the West Coast, he decided to pursue his art passion further by studying fine art at the University of California Santa Cruz. With degree in hand, Bob began putting this fine art foundation to practice by working in the field of graphic design creating logos, posters, murals, and illustrations for clients.
As a youngster, Bugs, Daffy, and other members of the Warner Bros. clan had made their indelible impression upon Bob. So he returned to the classroom and became a student of animation at De Anza College. After producing some personal work and gaining a thorough understanding of traditional animation techniques, sharing this knowledge with young people became a logical pursuit. With a teaching credential in art from San Jose State University added to the repertoire, he was ready!
Bob has been (on the other side of the classroom now) teaching Animation and Graphic Design for 14 years. The design and implementation of a rigorous curriculum in both subject areas has provided many would-be animators and designers with the tools they need for their future careers. Many of his students have gone on to further their study and careers at such prominent colleges as Academy of Art, Art Institute, Expression, Sheridan (Toronto, Canada), Otis Art Institute, San Jose State University, and Sacramento State University.
OH YEAH! And that passion for music has never subsided. You can catch a "Muzztones" performance when Bob is out and about performing Jazz Standards at one of the local venues around the North Eastern San Francisco Bay Area.
Thanks for visiting everyone! Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Please send me a note.
